eight months.

hi, everyone!

eight months have passed by, and i seriously can't keep up! this kid is growing way too fast, but we are enjoying and relishing every single moment with our blue-eyed colby george.

so, what's new?

it's official! this kid is on the move. and when i say on the move, he is everywhere! he's getting into everything within reach, and he loves it! while he scoots around, he's giggling and laughing and is just purely loving life. colby has also learned to clap! i love seeing him reach his milestones, and growing so big and strong. he's definitely not a newborn anymore! on a more random note, we've discovered that colby absolutely despises public bathroom changing tables (you and me both, kiddo). the second we lay him on his back, he screams incessantly until we pick him up. he despises it. we've also discovered his love for dogs, and that he is a champion traveler just like his brother. he's officially been on his second set of roundtrip plane rides, and survived two twelve hour road trips to our cabin in the middle of nowhere and back. so grateful that our two boys love to travel as much as john and i do! lots of fun trips in our family's future.

besides crawling around and clapping, things have been pretty normal. eats, plays and sleeps. he is still fighting us on solid foods, but we are working on it. he's also waking up multiple times a night to feed, but we are working on that. we are hoping to resolve things quickly so i can stop being a mom-bie all the time. john and i are taking a trip to california in october, and my parents are coming to watch the boys. so, we gotta get him eating solids, weaned from me, and sleeping through the night. wish us luck!

when i was preggo with colbster, i had such a hard time thinking about what life was going to be like without it just being liam as my one and only child, but looking back at these past eight months, i cannot imagine our life without colby. all of the long nights, the feedings, the tears, the depression, the smiles, the explosive diapers, the tickles, the laughs, the joy, i'd do it all over 100%. this kid is an angel.

check out our colby's eighth month of life!

happy eight months, colby george!
love you so much, buddy.
