five months old.

howdy, everyone! what a beautiful sunday it's been.

the sun is shining, john has the day off, and our colby george turns five months old. and both boys are taking a nap which is a total parenting win! woot woot!

so, what's been new with the colbster?

he's rolling over, has discovered his tongue, and really enjoys being outside in the sunshine. he rolled off the couch for the first time (total mom fail), rode in a baby swing for the first time, and loves grabbing his feet. he's definitely a snuggle bug, and is still a nursing champ. we gave him his first solid food of avocados, and he didn't even bat an eyelash or make a silly face. when we first fed liam avocados, his faces of disgust were hilarious, but colby wasn't phased at all. it just goes to show how completely different babies can be. he has really bad acid reflux and pukes a lot, and is now in size 2 diapers. we also celebrated his first easter! where has my little baby gone?

colby's personality has really started to shine through. he's sweet, goofy and loves to laugh and be our happy, smiley, blue-eyed boy. but boy is he stubborn! we tried to sleep train him a couple of weeks ago, and when i would lay him down for nap or bedtime, he would scream and scream and scream! we would go in to check on him and try to soothe him, but he would not go to sleep! the second we picked him up, he would instantly fall asleep. little stinker. the sleep training is still a work in progress, but for now, i'll just enjoy the snuggles. he loves playing with toys, sticking objects in his mouth, and chasing his brother while in my arms.

he is still totally obsessed with liam and i love watching them interact. they are going to be best friends when they grow up, and it makes my heart so warm and fuzzy watching them love each other. colby is an incredible addition to our family, and not a day goes by where i don't look at my boys and think how blessed and grateful i am to have them in our family. the days can be so long, and sometimes i don't know how i get through most days, but the years are short and they're going to be grown men before we know it.

enjoy some glimpses of colby's fifth month of life!

happy five months, colby! we love you so much.
