we just got back this morning from a fun-filled weekend in good ol' st. louis, missouri where john grew up. it's so fun being within driving distance of my mother-in-law and father-in-law, and this particular weekend was my father-in-law's 60th birthday! john got a few days off from work, and we headed down to help celebrate! sadly, my mother-in-law leslie was unable to be there because she was attending john's cousin's wedding in utah- but john, brian, liam and i were able to enjoy going to the awesome (and FREE!) st. louis zoo, a delicious birthday dinner at olive garden (soup, salad and breadsticks WHAT WHAT!), and just enjoyed each other's company. happy birthday, brian! hopefully, we will be able to head back down sooner than later! i LOVE st. louis (minus the humidity).
