we be spontaneous.

our little family took a quick and spontaneous trip to oklahoma, and it was a blast! when we found out that john had six days off in a row, we wanted to take a trip and get out of illinois. a few possibilities were thought about and researched (alabama, milwaukee, minneapolis, phoenix), but when we saw super cheap roundtrip tickets to oklahoma city, we knew that it was meant to be. we packed our bags that night, and the next morning, we flew to oklahoma to visit my awesome sister-in-law joni and her adorable family. our nephew isaac was getting baptized that weekend, and we were so excited to be able to share that special day with him. my sister-in-law julie was also able to come down to oklahoma, as well as john's parents. it was an amazing weekend spending time with some of john's family.

congratulations on your baptism, isaac! we love you.

i got my hair cut by my awesome sister-in-law, julie. five and a half inches cut off!

love my two favorite boys.

fun at the splash park! liam wasn't quite sure what to think...

my awesome nephew, ryan.

my beautiful niece, brighton.

my sweet nephew, isaac.

my hilarious niece, makayla.

liam sure loves his oklahoma cousins!

on our way home, we were 3 of 8 people on the entire airplane. it felt like we had our own private jet!

we are so thankful for the opportunity we had to make a quick trip to oklahoma, there's nothing like seeing family! it went by way too fast.

where will we take our next spontaneous trip? well, i guess we'll have to see, now won't we?

{side note: liam has now been to illinois, missouri, washington, wisconsin, and oklahoma. 5/50 states in 6 months of life. woot woot!}
{another side note: i've been to washington, oregon, california, idaho, utah, montana, wyoming, oklahoma, missouri, illinois, florida, wisconsin, iowa, texas, and hawaii! 15/50 in 22 years of life. i really gotta step up my game. oh, and i've been to australia and new zealand. 2 countries out of the many i want to go to. that's a blog post all in itself.}
