spontaneous trip #2: milwaukee.

can i just say how much i love to travel? okay, i'll say it. I LOVE TO TRAVEL.

i've never been one to mess around when it comes to exploring new places. heck, i went to hawaii for college...over 2,733 miles away from my hometown of olympia, washington. so naturally, when john has three days off in a row, we go exploring. for this spontaneous adventure, we decided to head up to the neighboring state of wisconsin to the beautiful city of milwaukee.

and it was SO MUCH FUN.

let's be honest, chicago is HUMONGOUS. sometimes, especially for a small town girl like me, it is totally overwhelming. but milwaukee? the chillest big city EVER. people strolling around, awesome shops to explore into, fun and hoppin' restaraunts, a public market with delicious samples of local foods, a fun waterfront, and best of all...FREE PARKING. we could not believe it when we saw that parking was free on saturdays. in chicago, that is unheard of. we took advantage of it, parked our new car (for free!), and went exploring.

liam is the funnest little explorer.

 strolling down the outside market.

 making some lobster friends.

hi cutie patootie.

my favorite face EVER.

our little boy is sitting in a restaurant high chair, where has the time gone?

amazing barbeque place. highly recommend it.

our visit to milwaukee ended with a trip to the mars cheese castle. SO. MUCH. CHEESE.

yup, we had a blast.

can't wait for our next spontaneous adventure!

over and out, peeps.
