our little guy has transitioned from being an eating, sleeping and pooping newborn to an interacting, smiling and playing baby. this baby does stuff, and john and i are totally loving it!

he loves to watch the olympics, no matter how many times we turn him away from the TV.
and, he still makes us laugh on the daily with his hilarious facial expressions.
liam also loves to drool, suck on his hands and fingers, play with his toy keys, and loves when his parents smile at him because he smiles right back. it is the cutest thing on this planet. he has us completely wrapped around his little finger.
also, whenever someone observes or holds liam, they notice that something is different about him. that's because something IS different about him. liam has been rolling from his tummy to his back since he was less than a month old, can hold his head up all on his own, and can stand with us just holding his arms. we call him our super baby, because he is SO. FREAKING. STRONG.

as you can see, we have a future Olympic athlete on our hands!
as for me, this past month has been one where i'm finally beginning to feel like a normal human being again. don't get me wrong, there have been nights where i didn't sleep a wink, and days where i've felt completely overwhelmed and exhausted. but every time liam sees me and smiles, it is worth it all. liam is changing and growing so fast, and we are enjoying every second with him.
